GYM and Sports Center - Overview

The Physical Education department Government Degree College, Jammalamadugu to be established in 1980 physical educations has been striving for games and sports excellence and at the same time sponsoring varieties of activities that would contribute to the whole some development of personality and promote health among students. Sports and games are one such area promoted by the physical education department with an intention of ensuring physical, mental and emotional health of the student community.

To engage in relentless pursuit of excellence in the promotion and development of Physical Education and sports through innovative programme in coaching and training students and evolve a holistic approach to the betterment of human resources through a harmonious blend of body, mind and spirit

Mission

Actively design programme for the promotion and the development of fitness, health and mind among the sports person so as to mould them into physically fit & emotionally matured citizens with leadership quality. To closely collaborate and coordinate with the State and National Sports Bodies in matters of common interest.

Objectives

The Department of Physical Education aims at preparing highly competent and skilled players in sports and moulding them as professional players.
