The college was established on 1st October 1980 with programs in B.Sc (MPC), B.Sc (BZC), BA (HEP), and B.Com (General) in Telugu Medium. From the academic year 2006-07, new programs such as B.Com (Computer Applications), B.Sc (Bio.B.C), and B.Sc (MPCS) were introduced in English Medium.

At present, the college offers the following five programs, all in English Medium:

1. BA (Economics)
2. B.Com (Computer Applications)
3. B.Sc (Physics)
4. B.Sc (Chemistry)
5. B.Sc (Zoology)

The college is situated on a lush green campus covering 20.5 acres. It gained UGC recognition under sections 2(f) and 12(B) in 1993.

Our institution strictly follows the rules and guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), Commissionerate of Collegiate Education (CCE, AP), and Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa (affiliating university).
